CUSTOMER WARNING - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SENGPAR CHINA

Top Story about being scammed by the Chinese SENGPAR company
If you ever considered to do business with SENGPAR in China, we reccomend that you think again. Yes, they do have good looking products, but what good will that do you when you end up with a bunch of useless chinese crap in your garage ?.
This company is cheating, and provide false information as well as documentation for their products, which will result in great loss for you as a person, or for your company. So we will obligated to tell our story, to make sure that you dont do the same mistakes as we did, dealing with this company.
Back in December 2007, we got in contact with a sales person named Sophia, using the e-mail: export7@sengpar.com. She seemed like a nice and reliable person in whom we had confidence after some conversations. Our needs where to import 70 bath tub / spa models to Denmark, where we would do business to consumer sale. Naturally we asked if the products where legal for sales in Denmark, as well as CE approved. Sophia told us, that they did a lot of export to Europe, due to the fact that all their products for export where legal and approved by the authorities.
We had found similar models on the Danish market, so we felt confident enough to place the order, which in total was the amount of 37.379 USD, excluding delivery costs. We paid the amount, and waited 3 weeks for delivery. So far so good.
Upon arrival to the Danish port of Copenhagen, the goods where checked by the custom - and from that point hell broke loose. The goods did not in any way live up to the expectations for European standard, and the Danish Secuity Department could not in any way allow these products to go inside Denmark, without further inspections. We had to wait another 3 weeks, and also pay a lot of money for the containers rental fee meanwhile.
Finally the custom accepted to transfer the goods to our warehouse, if we signed an agreement that we would never sell these products in Europe without them undergo extended modifications and getting new approvals. The Danish Security Department had informed all other European countries that all models where illegal for important at this point, so we could not even export them to a country close to Denmark.
At this time, our total expenses including freight and wait fine was 70.000 USD. Off course, we had been in contact to SENGPAR several times about this. All they needed to do was to send us the Declaration of Conformity, which proves the products are tested legal. But this document never existed for this models. Instead SENGPAR tried to use a false document from another product line, which where approved a while ago. But off course noone in Denmark bought that story, as they could not in anyway deliver any usefull documents for these models.
So all CE stamps on the goods where fake, and illegal.
We where in dialogue with Sophia several times. But all we got was cheap talk and waste of time. They did not in any way try to solve the problems by taking the goods back, by paying us any money in return, by modifying the products, by accepting the expenses for having someone else modifying the products, or any other solution. In the end they just kept quiet. And they remain quiet still.

We are never going to give up this case. At present we have contacted Alibaba.com where we found the supplier, and this homepage hopefully will make people open their eyes before placing any orders with this cheating scam company. Next step for us is to contact the Chinese Embassy in Denmark, asking for information about which trade departments in China who will deal with this for us. This is scandal for Chinese export, in a market where trust is so important.
We will keep fighting for justice and fair trade. Involving any instance available for processing this fraud, using any Internet source to fight for Fair Trade. Updates will be put here as story developes. We do not blame Sophia in any way for this. She was just a sales person, without the knowledge of what was going on behind the scenes, but her boss - thats another story.
